Gray Trophy Fish Mounts

"Fiberglass Replica", not "Taxidermy". The name of this business should be “GRAY Fiberglass Fish Mounts”. After catching a Marin in Cabo San Lucas, they asked if I wanted to mount it and have it shipped to my house, which I agreed sounded great. Luckily, I read the reviews before being convinced to pay. When I backed out, they guilt tripped me and tried to make me feel as if I was the jerk. I told them to only be let down with themselves for lying in the beginning. Had I known the truth in the beginning, I wouldn’t have “wasted their time” (the truth is they wasted my time). They sell themselves as if they’re going to preserve and actually provide taxidermy service. In reality, they send you a fake fiberglass/plastic fish that you could buy back home. They try to get you to pay quickly and brush off all of your questions to convince you everything will be fine and taken care of. Additionally, let’s say for some reason you do want a fake fish that you didn’t catch to put in your house…they act like it’s going to be an exact replica. Based on what I see in the reviews, if it’s not even remotely the same size as the one you caught, it’s too late and they were never going to give you a refund either way. If it’s not even going to be a replica of your’s, there’s not even any reason for you to catch a fish to buy these things haha. Just an absolute an utter scam unfortunately. They should change their business to just sell these fake fiberglass fish to restaurants, malls, etc. for decoration purposes instead of trying to scam tourists.

My 1st experience with Grays was good. I decided to get 3 fish a Marlin, A Sail, and a Bull Mahi done on a 2nd order, I sent pictures of all and sent to them for reference. I recieved all 3 opened up crate and realized all 3 were painted extremly different to what the pictures I sent. I called and was given the run around and excuses and even told I never sent photos. I had the original email with photos i sent it to them i was then told I needed to ship them back at my cost and they would fix them. They were very dismisive and could care less if there was a problem or not. This company cant be trusted and if you value customer service and quality and a company that stands behind their work DO NOT USE GRAYS!

The permit mount I ordered from Gray's arrived this weekend and it is absolutely beautiful. I am so pleased in the quality and It looks great on my home office wall. My guide recommended getting the mount made but honestly I was a little hesitant only because I am pretty much past that phase in my life. But my grandson is really getting into fishing and I thought it might be something he would enjoy having years down the road. The communication from my rep - Harrison was very good, and the Gray's website provides excellent examples to use as a guide when deciding how you want your mount displayed. I highly recommend Gray's Trophy Fish Mounts.

I finally decided to have a mount made of a Striped Marlin that I caught in Cabo San Lucas years ago that I did a catch and release. I reviewed 3 different Companies that do this and settled on Gray Taxidermy based on their reviews, their responsiveness, and Professionalism. Joe walked me through the entire process and kept me updated. My Marlin arrived yesterday and the crating and packing was excellent. Excellent quality and very realistic. Can’t wait to get this hung along side all my other Trophies. It’s not so much about the mounts, but the memories.
